Review:

Honestly, if you are going to purchase this book you have to purchase this book in hardcover format because not only is the dust jacket cover stunning but the actual cover is breath taking. I have never seen such a stunning cover in my life!

The Train to Impossible Places: A Cursed Delivery features Suzy who starts this epic adventure when a mammoth steam train crashes into her hallway. The train known as the Impossible Postal Express, which is a delivery service for the Union of Impossible Places and Suzy eagerly joins as a new recruit. And with her cursed first package in her hands the adventure begins. Suzy joins the postal workers on the magical train and assists them in delivering secret packages to impossible and dangerous places.

The Train To Impossible Places would have to be one of my favourite middle grade reads thus far. Bell’s creative imagination really sets the pace of the book with action packed twists, creative world building and mystical characters. There was no point on this journey that I found myself disinterested in the story, nor could I fault the plot or characters in anyway.

What I loved about Suzy was that she had flaws, not only is this brilliant for the story but also for the young readers that turn the pages of this book. It is always important to let the younger generations know that not being perfect and having flaws is okay and there is nothing wrong with that. While Suzy is also bold, loyal and caring she also lets her raw emotions and fear rise to the surface. And another important aspect of Suzy is that she increasingly relies on her gut instinct, which is a feeling that all humans should take note of. Your gut instinct never lies to you, listen to it.

This book ticked a lot of boxes for me. It had a unique storyline, brilliant characters and the writing was diverse yet charismatic. I cannot wait to see what the second book has in store for us!!
