Review:
This was one of those books that I had heard all the hype about and had to get my hands on it and I am glad that I did. Now don’t get me wrong I love YA but more on the fantasy side of things not so much when it is based around the dreaded high school scene. But saying that this is on of those books that makes you curl up on the couch and binge read to find out who actually killed Simon.
The fact that every chapter is based around the lives of a different character is fascinating – I love it when writers do this. You get to know the main four characters inside out which leaves you with ideas on who you think might be the killer and who was simply an innocent bystander. Get out your fancy investigation hat because the twist and turns that this story contains will have you guessing until the end!
The diversity of the characters is the typical high school groups, the jock, the smarty pants, the princess and the rebel. McManus delivers on original story and like I said before, great plot twists. If this were a TV show I would be glued to the screen, dying to find out who the killers is. I don’t want to say too much about this book in fear of getting carried away and ruining it for you.
There isn’t a thing I disliked about this book and I cannot urge you enough to go and buy it – You will not be disappointed!
