Though I absolutely love having a bookstagram, I feel it is the root cause of my ever growing TBR. Though let’s face it I have no one to really blame but myself for buying the books but I can’t help but think if I didn’t have a bookstagram I wouldn’t have half the books I have now. With wonderful accounts posting beautiful photos of books and telling me how much they love them and how it’s one of their favourite reads, leaves me no choice but to add it to my shopping list.

If you are anything like me you TBR is out of control, gathering the troops and planning a rebellion against us in order to get us to stop buying books and actually read them. Cheeky buggers! I have no intention of counting my TBR and get the shock of how many books I have purchased but have never read but it would have to be up in the hundreds and at the rate I have been buying books (even though I was meant to be on a book buying ban! But don’t worry I’m glad to say that the ban is over). And it doesn’t help when you have a wonderful Opp shop around the corner that has books for $0.50c or less and you walk out of there with baskets full of books but only paid $25.00 which is the price of a brand new book from a book store.

Anyway the point of this post comes with a motto: ‘Life’s too short, buy the books.” Honestly just do it, even if your TBR is giving you strange looks from the other room. Be a proud bookaholic with books that will always take you on a different journey, make you cry and fall in love with fictional characters. After all there is no better feeling then buying a new book.
