June Wrap Up!

What a crazy month it has been! I cannot believe we are in July already and I’m 20 books away from hitting my reading goal too! June was a big month for my family so my reading suffered a little as we welcomed new fur children to the family!

For those that have never had puppies this young, let me tell you it is time consuming and not as easy as everyone thinks. Our beautiful family dog, Ziva had a lot of trouble with her first pregnancy so we decided that in the best interest for her and her puppies we would have a C-section. And she just happened to be ready for this at 3 AM in the morning. Lucky she is too cute to not get out of bed that early for!

We welcomed 6 wonderful pups into our lives and gave them our unconditional love and unfortunately one of them was not strong enough to make it. Running off little sleep, high emotions and the death of one the cutest puppies I have ever seen was a lot to deal with at the start of the month so my reading suffered.

But I did read some incredible books this month!

Akarnae – Lynete Noni 3/5 I really liked the characters….. the plot.. meh

The Wild Robot – Peter Brown 5/5 (AMMMMMAZINGGG)

Neverland – Margot McGovern 3/5 FYI this isn’t a story about Peter Pan…. I was fooled

Swallow’s Dance – Wendy Orr 2/5 Unfortunately wasn’t feeling this… at all

Angelic – Kelley Armstrong 4/5 Quick, witty and fun!

Twilight Robbery – Frances Hardinge 4/5 This writer is now officially one of my favs!
