Review:
THE SEQUEL WAS JUST AS BRILLIANT AS THE FIRST!!
Honestly this book is so magical and delightful and I am obsessed with this series, it pulls at the remaining scraps of my heart strings.
I adored seeing Roz brought back to life through the pages of The Wild Robot Escapes and follow her on her journey to find her family and escape to where she truly belongs
Being the sequel to The Wild Robot it picks up right where the original story ends, with Roz being unboxed by her new family on a dairy farm with the thoughts of escape and finding her son whom is a goose. What is beautiful about this story is the fact that her new owners and others that come across her path wish to help her. Which is understandable, considering she is a robot that can not only talk to humans but to animals as well.
I love Roz, she is so vibrant and willing to help, not because she is programmed that way but because she knows in her metal heart that it is the right thing to do. She understands all the creatures and humans that come across her and their need to thrive and survive and will help that at her own sacrifice, which is a continuation of her soul from the first book. I honestly wish there were more Roz’s in the world than a lot of humans that already preoccupy it, you could never find a stronger and larger heart.
Not only is the story heart-warming, tender and just overall beautiful, the illustrations are too beautiful not to pass up. I know this is a middle grade read but I highly recommend that you purchase this book for yourself, or if not a younger member of the family and just pretend to forget where you placed it.
I am over the moon with this book and I cannot wait to see what else Peter Brown comes put with.
