Synopsis:
Prince Lexxendae Tal`Dier’s life is a monotonous pattern of learning and training, he’s a prince of the dark elven city of Tserindyn and has not known much else.
Unbeknown to the world, Lexx’s mother is a banished demi-goddess and before long, the prince will pray for the predictable rhythm of his upbringing.
A darkness stirs in Tserindyn and within the heart of Lexx. Soon the prince will find himself on the outside, looking in as the queen makes her move for power.
In his time of need, will Lexx be willing to lose himself and unleash the demon inside, or can he trust in the friendship of the races on Nath’atarya to face the growing evil?
Review:
This was a rather interesting read.
Straight off the bat I wasn’t a big fan of the beginning of the book, it took a fair few pages to start flowing and after that it picked up and it was brilliant.
The world building was immense and detailed. The detail that it went into was incredible and easy to pick up. No matter how complex the world nor the story got, it was easy to follow as you got immersed into the world.
The characters were divine! I did love Lexx and his whole thought process, characteristics and overall he was the dark prince that you desire and need.
I love Jackson’s dark element of writing too, it added value to the story.
Besides the opening this was a brilliant read!
