Review:

Holy space balls this book was amazing! Actually this whole trilogy is everything you ever wanted, craved and needed from a superhero book or series. This explosive adventure is filled with action, betrayals, plot twists as well as friendship and hope.

I have read a few of Marissa Meyers books and by far this series tromps the others. SO even if you aren’t a fan of her previous work, I would suggest giving this one a go because I guarantee that you will love it!

Let’s start with the basics which is the characters and their powers. The characters are vibrant, one of a kind and all have their weaknesses (which is HIGHLY important when writing a super hero book) but together though their powers are nothing ‘fancy’, they are extremely creative. For instance one of the characters can turn into a collection of butterflies, another can control bees. Things that you would necessary not think would create a superhero but in reality, being a super hero is much more than strength. Which is more than valid. Bravery doesn’t come from strength.

Now trying to write about this book without spoiling not only what happens in this book but previous books as well. Let’s try anyway. These characters have not only grown from the first book but starting to question which side they are really on. Are the heroes as good as they vow they are and are the villains actions justified?

The plot was fast paced. I kid you not. There was always something going on and happening. It was intense and has you sitting on the edge of your chair, jaw open, not realising that it is three am in the morning and you have to get up for a work in a few hours. Yep it’s one of those books that you cannot put down for the life of you.

Overall this book is fantastic. That fantastic in fact that I enjoyed the romance that developed. I know. You thought I would never say that, that romance is enjoyable..? I know but it really was that or a demon has taken over my soul.

Seriously this book deserves all the stars and this trilogy completes my life. I loveddddd it!!
