Review:
This book was absolutely stunning, and I am not just talking about the cover, but the book was just beautiful!!
So if you didn’t know this book had a White Bear that talks in riddles and poems and I fricken loved it, it kinda bought back all the thoughts and crazy ideas I had as a child and I hope it does or sparks a wild imagination for the younger generations that are reading it as well.
Rose is the leading lady of the book, and her names matches her personality, being kind and sweet and just adorable. And the conversations between Rose and the White Bear are just too cute.
Not going to lie, the start of the book took it’s time to kick off, it was waiting for something to happen but really paced itself to get into the flow of the story. This didn’t really bother me, as most stories nowadays seem to start like this.
I would have to give a ‘hell yeah’ for the first book in a long time that didn’t have love as a pinnacle of the story. Not every single story needs romance people. If you need constant romance stick to reading romance books out of the romance section. There can be stories without romance. Life can exist without romance. The fact that there was no love interest in this book is a real highlight for me.
Besides Rose and the White Bear, North Child will take you on an action packed adventure that will force you not to put the book down but to desperately continue to read to find out how this ends.
