Camp, Lev. A.C. Rosen

Thank you Penguin Random House for this book in exchange for an honest review

Synopsis:

Sixteen-year-old Randy Kapplehoff loves spending the summer at Camp Outland, a camp for queer teens. It’s where he met his best friends. It’s where he takes to the stage in the big musical. And it’s where he fell for Hudson Aaronson-Lim – who’s only into straight-acting guys and barely knows not-at-all-straight-acting Randy even exists.

This year, though, it’s going to be different. Randy has reinvented himself as ‘Del’ – buff, masculine, and on the market. Even if it means giving up show tunes, nail polish, and his unicorn bedsheets, he’s determined to get Hudson to fall for him.

But as he and Hudson grow closer, Randy has to ask himself how much is he willing to change for love. And is it really love anyway, if Hudson doesn’t know who he truly is?

Review:

Well isn’t this the cutest book I ever did read!!

No seriously, it was adorable and you should read it!

Randy loves heading to Camp Outland which he annually attends and who wouldn’t with weeks of singing and dancing with his best friend, Hudson. But this time, Randy plans to see if Hudson will fall in love with him.

The characters are just adorable. Even George who is Randy’s friend and I loveeee him. They characters are embracing and accepting of each other and its soo sweet and beautiful!! The whole story and the world building of the camp was descriptive and it was easy to image yourself there and watching our two characters fall more in love!

From start to finish this book was sweet and light. It was an enjoyable book and one that I know I’ll pick up again.
