Hawk, James Patterson

Thank you to Penguin Teen Australia for this book in exchange for an honest review

Synopsis:

Hawk doesn’t know her real name. She doesn’t know who her family was, or where they went. The only thing she remembers is that she was told to stay on that street corner until they came back for her, for as long as it takes.

That was thirteen years ago.

The day that she finally gives up is the moment that her life changes forever. Because the promise becomes reality: someone is coming for her. But it’s not a rescue. It’s an execution

Review:

OMG. I feel like I have waited my whole life for this book and it is just everything I needed, wanted and more!! It was absolutely fantastic!!!

We all know that I am a sucker for James Patterson books, but this just hits a whole new level for me. My parents bought me the Maximum Ride books to read when I was younger, so I have grown up on these stories and reliving this adventure was just everything!!

I could spend all day praising James Patterson for his work but I don’t think anyone has the time for that. Overall, Patterson doesn’t leave you with any unanswered questions but leaves you bracing for the suspense. You get the raw energy of angst and self-doubt that any teenager would realistically experience and Clete is officially a new favourite character. I loved the whole thing and it didn’t ruin any childhood memories of the series, it only enhanced them. Patterson is a god!
