Review:

In Tribal Lores you meet Frankie, a teenage sun of Italian Immigrants who are struggling to fit in. Living next door is Lockie Marsh, Frankie’s best friend who is having his world and personal space invaded by his pregnant half-sister. Both families are from different cultures and facing difficult situations, they bond together.

I loved this aussie tale that was relatable and made you remains on your childhood. You can relate to the characters on how they group and how friendship can get you through the hardest of times.

Have to admit, I had a huge soft spot for Lockie, he was just determined to make sure his friend was okay, even if that meant putting aside his own issues in life. You don’t really see this as an adult any more, as people can be overwhelmed with their own selfish needs, but this story sparks that hope, that hopefully encourage others to put their friends above themselves when they are in dire need of faith and love.

Even though this book was a tad slow, and it took a while to pick up what was getting put down, this story was beautiful to read and I adored it.
