Review:

The way the second book left off, I thought we were going to be in for a powerful start to book three, since book two spent a lot of time building up the suspense. Alas, we start the book going more along the plots of inner dialogue, conversations and still staying with the slow build up to the last third of the book, which is where the plot really grows, and the action takes place.

I still really enjoy Hocking’s writing style; I have a dozen of her books and I have enjoyed them but I honestly feel as though this series just didn’t hit the mark of her talent.

The closing battle, which was the highlight of the book, which is where you really get drawn into the story.

Unfortunately, this just didn’t tick all the boxes for me.
