Synopsis:

The son of a struggling single mother, Jamie Conklin just wants an ordinary childhood. But Jamie is no ordinary child. Born with an unnatural ability his mom urges him to keep secret, Jamie can see what no one else can see and learn what no one else can learn. But the cost of using this ability is higher than Jamie can imagine – as he discovers when an NYPD detective draws him into the pursuit of a killer who has threatened to strike from beyond the grave.

Review:

Honestly, King can do no wrong when it comes to his stories. They have always been captivating and eerie and just my cup of tea.

Later is about a young boy, Jamie who lives in New York City and can see dead people. Not all the time just for a few days before they disappear and they look exactly like they did when they died, or when they were murdered. Whilst Jamie is used to this alarming gift, he isn’t used to other people finding out about it and using his gift to their advantage.

The plot, the writing, the characters and the setting were absolutely fantastic. This is one book that is going straight back onto my tbr pile, so I can devour it again and again.
