Review:
What the in name of Satan’s asshole was this?
I trusted you.
I had faith in you.
What the actual crap was this.
Alright – now that my real thoughts are on the table, lets gets some tea and chat about how this book broke my faith.
I read Mask of Shadows when it was released and I honestly thought that book one would be a massive build up to book two and it would bring all the epiciness. But it didn’t.
There was so much that I thought we could dote point this.
- Umm what was happening? No legit, I reread paragraphs. I reread pages but still I had no real sense of what was going on. Did the book need a map? Was it lost? This is why we stop and ask for directions people!
- The action scenes were coughed over. They got lost too. Where did they go? Isn’t this book about an assassin kinda person?
- Elise & Sal’s relationship was weird. I felt like I was reading about incest. Odd. Shiver. Not a fan.
- Sal got lame.
- Reallllly lame. Not a fan.
- I did not need to be reminded that Sal was gender fluid all the damn time.
ME: *breath in*
BOOK: Sal’s gender fluid
ME: *breath out*
BOOK: In case you didn’t know Sal was gender fluid.
ME:*Breaths in*
BOOK: I don’t think you heard me the first 30 times but Sal is gender fluid
ME: OVER IT!
I don’t like being told the same thing over and over, you are not my mother book and you cannot scold me!!
I liked the ending, in particular, the back page when I closed the book.
I’m done. My TRUST IS RUINED!!
