Review:

This was surprising to say the least. After reading the blurb I wasn’t too sure what to expect and then after checking Goodreads I found that it was the second in a series, not that the first is listed on there. From this I kind of went in wary as I had no idea about the first book and obviously hadn’t read it.

Slay is about a Milly who is joining a boy band on tour called Slay and the tour starts off smack bang in Shinjuku, Tokyo. Straight off the bat, I love Japan and am actually heading there in 6 months’ time so this was reviving the hype for the upcoming holiday!

The plot was intriguing and different, though I wanted a little bit more depth to it, a little more plot twists, if you know what I mean. I felt as though the plot was a bit basic.

The characters were bright, vibrant and full of personality and one of the main aspects of this book that I enjoyed.

Overall it was a light and bubbly read but I did find the book very predictable.
