Thank you Penguin for this book in exchange for an honest review

Synopsis:

LIKE FATHER, LIKE SON

Alex Cross
The brilliant DC detective who never gives up on a case.

Ali Cross
The tenacious kid who’s determined to follow in his father’s footsteps.

The case that finally gives him a chance
Ali knows Gabe Qualls better than anyone, so when his friend goes missing, Ali jumps right into action. Being Alex Cross’s son has taught him the skills he needs to solve the mystery: intelligence, persistence, and logic. One thing he didn’t inherit? Patience.

Because Ali knows that with every day that passes without the police finding Gabe, the less likely it is that he’ll ever be found. And being Alex Cross’s son, he refuses to accept those odds.

Review:

If yall didn’t know. I am all about the James Patterson books. I’m not kidding, Patterson is the panicle of triller/crime writers. Actually no, he is a god of crime books! A legend, and absolute bloody amazing block! Pretty much what King is to horror, Patterson is to crime.

Okay enough bragging about Patterson, let’s talk about the book. Ali Cross is pretty much a PG version of the Alex Cross series, featuring Ali Cross, Detective Alex Cross’ son.

Ali’s friend Gabe is missing. Gabe is the quiet, shy kid at school, the one that goes missing and not a lot of people notice. But Ali does. Ali has an eye like his father, he notices when things are astray and he wants to stand up for the little guy and someone that needs help.

Can I say anything bad about this book? Nope nothing at all. The overall story is gripping from page one, you get thrown into the depth of the story and you get hooked. There is no denying that this story is gripping from the start to the very end and will leave you wondering who is responsible? What is Gabe up to?

Why is James Patterson such an amazing writer you may ask? Cause he doesn’t fluff around. I love it. His writing is direct. There is no pages of pointless description, there are no characters that are dull, and there definitely is no boring plot. Honestly Patterson is the author I aspire to be.

This book was fantastic and I highly recommend that you read this and you get the younger generation to read this. Absolute brilliance!
