Review:

A Knock at the Door will introduce you to Jem, your standard housewife who lives in your regular life with a loving family and a delightful home. Her husband, Leo, has just left for a work trip when two FBI agents knock at the front door. The FBI inform Jen that the Leo isn’t who he says his and they are there to protect her while Leo launders drug money for the cartel.

Already frantic at the news of the FBI, Jen receives a phone call telling her not to trust the FBI and to run.

Ohhh I loved this concept, because really how many times do we open the door to strangers and we have no idea why they are there, what they are selling and why they aren’t telling you that you were an instant winner and here is a free car.

While you aren’t winning a free car, A Knock at the Door is a fast-paced book that will have you cringing when the doorbell goes off. Though I found the ‘plot twists’ predictable it didn’t stop the story itself from being entertaining.
