Review:
This book. THIS BOOK. Just WOW!
I like to think of myself as a plot picker. Bad! I will pick the plot at the start of the book and will always be correct. Well maybe about 98% of the time….. Instead, White Rabbit Red Wolf had me on the edge of chair, jaw open, heart thumping with every unpredictable plot twist. And I LOVED it! The only thing I don’t like about this book is why it isn’t blowing up Instagram already. People please read this book! Post about this book! Love this book!
Peter Blankman is a 17 year old genius. Brilliant. Pete is actually brilliant, extremely gifted when it comes to maths and numbers in general. Pete also suffers from extreme fear and anxiety, with a set of instructions to help him calm down and focus from having a panic attack. I just want to wrap Pete in a blanket and protect him. Please can I?? While Pete is attending a ceremony in celebration of his mother’s top secret science project, his mother is stabbed, his sister has disappeared and Pete is dragged to a secret government organisation’s base. Pete with the help of his only friend Ingrid, escape and apply Pete logic to find out who stabbed his mother and why?
Pete was written so wonderfully written and for once it was it was eye opening to read from a character perspective that was having panic attacks that were realistic. The amount of detail plus the thought pattern was just incredible and I have read nothing like it. Nothing. Usually authors only have a paragraph of two regarding their characters experiencing a panic attack, while Pollack takes character panic attacks to a whole new level. Is there is anything this Pollack can’t do?
Gahh …. Those plot twist and turns were amazing. So amazing in fact that I am not even going to give you a hint to what they were! You will just have to enjoy this lovely book like everyone else. (but seriously please buy it) There were a few stages throughout this book that I thought to myself. “Blue you know this,” but that was quickly replaced with, “what the fudge monkey!”
After finishing this book, I need to know where Pollock has his lunch time coffee break and I have to ask him a few questions or fangirl. I haven’t decided yet… But I need to know how? What? And why? Cause this was brilliant! I highly recommend this book, especially if you are into spy books or you like anything that will keep you on your toes.
