Graevale, Lynette Noni

Synopsis:

Light or dark, only one can win. This world cannot survive in shades of grey.

Now that Aven Dalmarta sits upon the throne of Meya, Alex must race against the clock to save the rest of Medora from the Rebel Prince’s wrath.

Haunted by an unspeakable vision of the future, Alex and her friends set out to warn the mortal races. But making allies out of ancient enemies proves difficult.

With her nights spent deep in the Library under the guidance of a mysterious new mentor, Alex is desperate to strengthen her gift and keep all those she loves safe. Because in a world where nothing is certain, she is sure of only one thing:

Aven is coming.

Review:

The only character I liked was killed off. Which in turn is fantastic because it means that Noni is finally able to learn to sacrifice someone (Wish it was D.C or Alex though… I hate whiny bitches)

But it also means that I will be heading into the final book and We Three Heros with Zero interest in any of the characters and will probably celebrate their deaths even though I doubt Noni will kill any mains. Her heart is too pure for such writing necessities.

So spoiler alert. Niyx is dead. His death was utterly predictable. If you want a characters death to be a surprise do not over write them in to the story and don’t have them constantly say I will die for you otherwise nosy busy bodies like me figure it out 100 pages in and curse loudly. Like I said the only character and reason why I kept reading from the third book.

Other than Niyx.

Yeah over all Alex is still an irritating tick that is the vain of my existence but here is the book summed up:

Ohh no this is really hard. Someone (actually a majority of the characters are all guys) jumps in and helps her

Ohh I literally have no weakness. I’m super strong. I’m superfast. I have magic capabilities. I train in the morning and then at night but am never tired. Oh I magically get a pet fox that always saves me cause I am literally to whingy to save myself. I always take all these special courses with amazing trainers and whinge about doing it. Oh look everyone says that’s a bad idea so I’m going to do it. Oh no I need a guy to help me. *face palm* AVEN JUST KILL HER ALREADY

Also Aven gets little stage time in this book and apparently is more fearsome then ever though there were no sentence structure to back up that allegations. Literally I want this world to be eating out of Avens hands

Roka is in a comma – how convenient.

D.C spends most of her time sleeping and crying. Ohhh but raises her hands to fight in the war. Get this girl a tissue and send her packing cause for the few pages of war time where is fighting is not worth reading the rest of the book were she is arrogant and snotty with tears. Bitch please you don’t have the stamina for one since the first page and then in the last few pages you can kick ass. Obs not the same girl.

Also can we talk about how easy it is for D.C, Bear and Jordan to be fighting the Meya race when it took Alex foreverrrr to finally train and be good enough.

Jordan and Bear… mehhhh kinda funny sometimes. Bear is totally irritating in this book. Jordan needs more PTS just sayyyinggg.

Kaiden. Hot muscle dude

Zain. Hot muscle dude

Roka. Hot muscle dude

Hunter. Hot muscle dude.

Declan. Hot muscle dude.

Apparently in this fantasy series no one has a normal body or god forbid have a guy without a six-pack. Little too much SJM happening over here. And for those that weren’t sure not all guys have six packs… that’s a serious needle in a hay stack situation going on.

Also can we talk about how more MALE characters are added? All just as mysterious but thankfully none of these new males want to get with Alex? Just surprised is all though it may have something to do with the fact we went from a love hexagon in the previous books to an actual somewhat kinda relationship with Alex and Kaiden. Though I call him meat bag 3, there was wayyy too many men to try and remember their names. It’s like a bad tinder date.

Honestly though, Niyx is still dead and well there goes the main interest for this book. Other than that the world forming and descriptions had drastically improved from the last book. Unfortunately Alex is still alive. The writing as always is captivating but I’m begging to think this series isn’t for me? Maybe just stick it out for the last book since I made it this far?
